  1. All explained on their website http://www.theclimbingedge.com.au/. It seems that it was a leaky boat.

    1. Seems the rent on the webpage is behind as well.

      From the mercury story,

"All long-term pass-holders are asked to post their unused passes to PO Box 450, Bathurst St Post Office, Hobart with details of where their refunds should be returned to"

For those that wish to try.

    Hi all,

BEFORE YOU SEND IN YOUR PASSES TO THE CLIMBING EDGE ...

Despite the posts on the climbingedge.com.au website to send in your passes for a full refund, it is strongly recommended that you consider whether this is the best option.

I have it on good authority that several people have sent in their annual passes, purchased less than a week before the gym was shut down, and they have not received any reimbursement at all.

So the most recent post on his website that he has paid people is in fact not the truth.

In fact, the two people that sent in their passes have not even heard a reply from him.

It is worth seriously considering whether sending your pass in is the best course of action, and if you are going to then at least keep a photo copy of the original.

A suggestion has been made that individual pass holders should contact the small claims tribunal, and lodge a complaint against him. In doing so, he may be forced to provide reimbursement.

    1. Good idea PJ, i sent in a 10 pass i had on the 20th Jan and havent heard anything.  Might be worth taking precautions if you havent sent yours in.

      Cheers Adam

  3. I would suggest any ex employees should confirm whether or not their superannuating  has been getting paid... I am aware that a number of ex employees have not had their super paid. Any concerns could be directed to www.fairwork.gov.au. They take the matter of not paying employee entitlements VERY seriously and super is a basic and fundamental right of any worker - really gets my goat to hear of employers shafting employees...
