Looking to go to Frenchmans soon but don't know if I've left it to late. Any advice on weather in particular and any update on lodden conditions? I've been there before but earlier in the year. Looking at end of march. Am I kidding myself?

    Luck of the draw Dave. Tasmanian weather is fundamentally very random. Feb and March are the best months, so end of march can still be good. Weather down here has been relatively dry, so you might be ok.

      Never to late!!!
      we went in at the start of the year and it was bone dry!!!
      didn't even get the boots muddy!!
      the ranger said he had never seen the lodden this dry ever, and he has been the ranger for the last 15 years.

    Am over on the W coast at the moment and today (easter sunday) was absolutely perfect weather, and I could see frenchmans S face from Macquarie Harbour. Would have been people on the face no doubt. Locals say its been dry...
