This climb is one of Tasmania's classic days out with 350 metres of climbing on Mount Roland in northwest Tasmania.Views down over the rich farm land and across into the Overland Track enrich the experience. Cradle Mountain and Barn Bluff - seemingly within touching distance on a clear day - dominate the landscape to the west. Notionally grade 12, you can take a number of variations along the way to make things a little more interesting if you wish. The rock is conglomerate so if you do this route you will get to climb on something a bit different from the norm. Descent is via rappel via the narrow gully to the left of the route. Enjoy!
