just a quick note to let everyone know that some of the CCT contacts on the SAR list did some training up on northern buttress last wednesday afternoon. it was more aimed at upskilling the police crew, while building valuable friendships that will be essential if we ever are called out for a rescue.

if you are on the contact list, thanks again for making yourself available! again if you think you could bring some skills to a SAR environment get in touch with myself and i can add you to the list!

summers just starting to warm up so get into it! go for it with the knowledge that if something goes wrong, some friendly faces will come to your aid.

  1. Would have loved to have been there having done a few before, but alas I'm Stuck in Thailand. have news of new & exciting crags though. Will provide details when I'm back, Cheers Windy

  2. The day went very well, and Simon ran a good clinic with realistic scenarios, with excellent participation and implementation of safe rescue techniques.  I think the Police SAR showed a lot of competence as well.  It was fun to be there.  Thanks Simon!
