The Wellington Park Trust is calling for submissions around amending the area that allows for development on the summit of Mt Wellington to include a new area below the current lookout, down towards the Pipes. 

The CCT will be putting in a submission - discussion on it on a thread in the CCT members area here: Re: Cable Car proposal .

Draft Amending Plan for the Pinnacle Specific Area

The Trust has resolved to evaluate a draft Amending Plan that would extend the Pinnacle Specific Area in the Wellington Park Management Plan 2013.

The draft Amending Plan proposes a change to the boundary of the Pinnacle Specific Area on Maps 2, 2A and S4 of theexisting Management Plan. No other alterations of the existing Management Plan are proposed. 

Representations

In accordance with the with the Wellington Park Act 1993 the Trust is seeking formal representations on the draft Amending Plan.

Representations may be made by email or in writing.

Alternatively, download the public submission form (DOC) and email or post it to the Trust. A completed online form can also be submitted directly from this website.

Draft Amending Plan Evaluation Process

All representations received by the Trust addressing the draft Amending Plan will be assessed by the Trust and the Trust’s report assessing the representations, and the original representations, forwarded to the Tasmanian Planning Commission for independent review.
