Clean up Australia. Waterworks Landcare Group will be removing weeds & waste, starting from the quarry, Sunday March 7th 10-12. BBQ at noon. They are looking for a couple of climbers to help remove weeds from the rock face. Register at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Quarry or at the quarry. Ring 62236116 or 0407874913 for info.

    the Tas Uni Climbing club will be at the quarry then, if i'm there i'll go for the weeds, or else someone else will for sure

    Removing weeds from the rockface might increase the rockfall and dirt that washes down the cliff after rain. I suspect that the weeds might be integral to holding a lot of the cliff together in places.

      we can do an assessment. i suspect the weeds will mostly be at the left and right ends where no-one climbs.could be sketchy country to be on abseil...
