thesarvo.com has finally gone live.

This site is a bunch of content about Tasmanian outdoor sports. It has started with all my various climbing sites, but the aim is to get people on board to write content for all sorts of outdoor stuff.

Anybody can write and edit content. You just need to sign up (click on link in upper right) and then click on the edit link on a particular page. Read the notation guide on how to format your text.

  1. Jonathon... 'ur' website is a good effort ... well done ... probably has eased the political-tensions , and provided a reasonably, tho @ times pub-like forum , in relation to the Tasmanian 'North/South rivalry'...

...anyway, my 'on-about' is this : a couple of years ago, as you prolly no, Queensland's/Mankybus's QURANK climbing forum was deliberately and maliciously impacted on, resulting in the loss of much data/info/discussion ...

...if people want to edit thr forum posts, to clarify a point, or re-phrase something that got a bit emo' ... then fair enough...

    ...HOWEVER ... I strongly urge u 2 restrict editable-access of on-line guides , etc , to ur self , McKenny , and no more than 1 or 2 trusted co-horts ...

...better 4 ppl 2 e-mail u or put stuff in one of the forum threads ... stuff that can then be transferred by u later .

    Cheers,

    Pro-active Sally

      what actually happened to Qurank?

I tend to subscribe to the wikipedia philosophy - let anyone edit, but keep all previous versions, and monitor activity. If someone screws with the content I can easily roll it back and ban them.

I keep a reasonably close eye on changes, which at the moment aren't very high volume.
