Hi, is anyone qualified to guide and/or instruct ice / snow technique on Cradle at all? Thanks.

    No, well not legally anyways. I work as a guide in the park and safetry regulations set by PWS are crazy strict. We are not even allowed to go past Marion's Lookout during winter without a ratio of two guides to six clients. And we all need Sat phones to even do that. Parks would shit themselves if anyone applied for a CV license to take ice climbing trips up Cradle. Also I think you should look at the weather up here. I doubt there will be much ice left by the end of next week. It's quite warm and pissing with rain.

    Thanks Joel.  I am planning to do some training in NZ this year so hopefully next year will be able to tackle cradle, should conditions permit.  Spectacular photos tho. Cheers, Tim.
