The main objectives of the CCT are:

*Advocacy*: representing climbers' views to government and other organisations such as National Parks and the Wellington Parks Trust.
*Standards*: publishing codes of conduct, and other standards.
*Maintenance and Environmental Work*: track work, signage, and anchor maintenance.

Membership of the CCT is free. To apply for membership, first sign up for a login for thesarvo.com.
