new="false">The Alum Cliffs, in the Mersey Valley, despite looking like a pile of choss, apparently have some decent short sandstone/quartzite cliffs. No details are available about any previous development.</text><text

new="false">The Cluan Tiers is a newly developed area west of Launceston. It is a steep, blocky dolerite face, currently with about a dozen sport routes. The approach is a 45 minute drive and a 10 minute walk. The guide is available online at

new="false">There are several routes that have been done at Cradle Mountain, including some ridge traverses, and a couple of big routes on the back of the mountain (which are written up in Climb Northern Tasmania). There is definite potential for some routes on the quartzite around the lakes as well, and probably also over at Barn Bluff.</text><text

new="false">Devil's Gullet is a big dolerite cliff (up to 100m) out the back of Mole Creek, with relatively easy access to a lookout at the top of the cliff. It probably has potential for more routes. It's written up in Climb Northern Tasmania by McMahon and Narkowicz.</text><text
