The Hobart City Council is organising an  evening of entertainment to celebrate the purchase of the land at Fruehauf, and the extension of the linear park.

There will be a drumming band playing on the grass, a circus workshop for kids and hopefully climbing in the background. There will be 2 sets of music (drumming) with an ‘interval’ in which the circus guys will do an acrobatic show. The Council has asked if climbers would be part of it, giving a demo of climbing in the background - it could be a  good opportunity for people to talk to the climbers, possibly after the acrobatic show – just an informal chat with those interested.

Given the support we have had from Council so far, it would be good to help out  and a good opportunity to get positive publicity for the Club etc. Any one available on the day to climb and/or help out? Maybe we organise a BBQ or some such as a fund raiser  as well? A beer afterwards  might be in order as well......

In case of rain it would all be off of course

Just a reminder that the Council are running a series of "events" on Tuesday 4th March between 5.30 and 7pm, weather permitting, to celebrate Parks Week. We have been asked if we would give a demo of climbing at Fru - it should be a  good opportunity for people to talk to the climbers, possibly after the acrobatic show – just an informal chat with those interested. So please come along - if you just want to climb it may be a bit crowded but the cliff is still open
