Hi all,

BEFORE YOU SEND IN YOUR PASSES TO THE CLIMBING EDGE ...

Despite the posts on the climbingedge.com.au website to send in your passes for a full refund, it is strongly recommended that you consider whether this is the best option.

I have it on good authority that several people have sent in their annual passes, purchased less than a week before the gym was shut down, and they have not received any reimbursement at all.

So the most recent post on his website that he has paid people is in fact not the truth.

In fact, the two people that sent in their passes have not even heard a reply from him.

It is worth seriously considering whether sending your pass in is the best course of action, and if you are going to then at least keep a photo copy of the original.

A suggestion has been made that individual pass holders should contact the small claims tribunal, and lodge a complaint against him. In doing so, he may be forced to provide reimbursement.

  1. OK. I have been out of the loop in re to the Hobart climbing gym.  What's the story ouside of the owner not being able to manage his pipes, plumbers and his finances? Is he selling?  Is he selling holds and gear associated with the site?  Is the Uni gym taking over competions and the like?  There is a bit of a void to fill here.  Who can give the low down on current position?
