There has been a fire burning at Hillwood climbing area all weekend, haven't had a chance to check out the damage yet. Tas Fire Service is advising all climbers to stay out of this area until an assessmant of the site can be done. I live at Deviot right opposite the climbing area, at 11pm last night I could clearly see the flames from my place.

The fire is off the list of http://www.fire.tas.gov.au , so now contained? Anyone know what the damage has been?

hi does any one know when hillwood will re open for climbing, i've only got 6 weeks left in tas and really want to try some of the routes up there.
