G'day! I'm Steve, 22, currently living on the North West Coast of Tas. I'm a complete beginner to climbing and looking for a knowledgeable person/s willing to teach me how to climb as well as becoming a potential climbing companion. My experience includes a little bouldering & clambering - as encountered when bushwalking and peak bagging. I have no experience with ropes other than using them years ago on school trips. I've always had a bit of an interest in climbing but never had the opportunity to give it a go. The book 'World Climbing: Images From The Edge' (awesome book btw) is what gave me the inspiration and a push to get started. I hope to gain the skills that will allow me to become a proficient climber and will allow me to pursue my other great interest - mountaineering. A bit more info; I have currently have no equipment, I have a car and I'm willing to drive anywhere in the state for some climbing, although I only have the weekends for this. Most weekends are fine unless I've got a walk on with the 'ol bushwalking club.
